What size socket

I'm posting this for my grandfather.....I'm a 7.3 guy. He just got a 2010 powerstroke and wanted to change the oil. He does not have the correct size for the oil filter cap on the motor and he wanted to know which size it was before he bought the socket.

Ok thank you. Any tricks you know of to help get it off he had no issues with the fuel filter with a crescent wrench. But the wrench rounds on the oil. The oil cap is on really tight

get a 6 point socket 32mm and use a 18" break bar or slip a pipe over your 1/2" drive ratchet. also he will never get the fuel filter on the frame rail without the socket and ratchet combo
