Engine Noise

My engine is making a noise that sounds like a belt or bearing whining. It only does it upon acceleration and stops when truck gets to 50 mph. I have changed both tension pulleys and checked the fan clutch. Mechanic friend seems to think it may be from the turbo. Any ideas? Have 125k on motor with no mods at all.

I was just being funny. But I did hear that on the 13' and up 6.7's they have repaired the turbo and transmission issues and somehow made the lag issue and low power issue go away on the new trucks. Atleast on the 450's and 550's.
