quiet rattle

when i pull away in my 2010 superduty i hear a quiet chattering rattling kinda noise. truck runs perfectly. Can anyone help with this.

Exhaust possibly. Is it a clanky metallic sound or a squeaky rattle like your tailgate?

does it sound like it could be sway bar links? or some other suspension rattle. check your links and body mounts for play.

My first GUESS would be the belt tensioner. They kind of separate when they go bad. As you rev, the tensioner will spin slightly.

My second GUESS would be a broken/bent pushrod, lifter, or rocker.

Also, check the exhaust and listen around the turbo.

Best way to diagnose is to get a friend/wife/etc and have them lightly rev while you track down the location of the rattle. Might need to lay underneath it.

I am having about the same issue. It seems louder before my truck gets to operating temp then almost disappears. When it is idling you can hear it the most near the driver's side wheel well or underneath. It sounds like a metallic rattle possibly somewhere near the egr cooler. My truck was parked for 2 weeks, grill being painted, and started doing this when I started it, never heard it before.

Ok this might sound crazy but I had a weird chatter for awhile. Finally found the ebp pipe was shaking against the up pipe. Welded a small bracket between them and instant fix. I'm egr deleted though.

sounds like the infamous 'tick' that ford deems normal....did a lot of research, thought mine had injector cackle, rod bearings, rocker issues. so far driven many miles and not found my issues yet, dealer always said normal..i say bull poop...but start by the injectors, turn them off one at a time (ids)..will give some direction
