Angry Left on side of the road

My truck shut down on me 238 miles from home on Sunday afternoon. Sensor in pdf was telling the computer tat temps were at 2,000 degrees in pdf, so the computer shut down fuel to engine. There I was less than 35,000 miles on truck and stuck on shoulder of road w/ a buddy and my 5 yr old son. This is a lot of money to for a truck to have problems like this.

Is this truck stock? Has Ford takin care of it for you? How did you find out the 2000 degree number, did Fords computer tell them that? I hope mine never does that I pull hard and heavy and can't afford to be left beside the road with a 40' trailer. I agree that these are expensive trucks to be having lots of trouble with, mine has been in the shop a lot too.

Yes, the truck is stock. The technician at the dealership said that the computer showed the temp to be 2,000 degrees, which was not true. He also told me it showed that I had run low on fuel for quite a way, which was true!
Didn't have anything to do with what happened to my truck, but shows you how much they can tell by checking your computer. As for them taking care of me, I purchased the extended warranty, 1st time ever, and it covers meals rental car and lodging-$500.00 for 3 days. I haven't turned in receipts yet, too busy trying to play catch-up after this head ache.

Glad to hear Ford took care of you and got you fixed up.

I didn't know about the lodging, meals and what not when you buy the extended warranty plan. I purchased the extended 5 year / 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty but they didn't tell me that part. I bought mine because there's so many little things that can go wrong with these things I wanted the piece of mind of having every nut and bolt covered because it's the little things that will nickel and dine you to death. My buddies AC died on his truck at 52k and they want $1600 to fix it so I figured it was worth every penny .

I'm curious about the low fuel. Did you run past 0 miles to E.

Yes, previously, but had a full tank when this happened. Throughout 35,000 miles I have run past 0 miles to empty probably 5 times with no problems.

There is an error code for critically low fuel. It cuts engine power. P115A
