Back to Ford Again!!!

Raised the hood to check the oil today before my wife took the '08 on a trip and noticed a whole lot of oil all over the hood over the oil filler cap. So I checked it and found it to be way over-full. I had it changed at Ford last month so I just got in it and drove on down to see what they thought, the tech did not like the looks of every thing and said he needed it and it probably has an enternal fuel leak. The coolant was also down and BLACK! Another wierd deal! What else can go wrong I am afraid to ask any more. I have to say I am pretty disappointed in this engine and I really wish I had bought an '07 6.0 instead. I guess I will see what they find out! Anybody else had oil all over the hood with the oil rising issue?

Dusten, another member on here, had problems with his oil being over full also. I can't remember what the cause was.

EDIT: Here is what some said in the other thread about over full oil...

"YOUR HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP IS LEAKING INTO YOUR OIL PAN. NO IM NOT GUESSING THATS WHAT IT IS FOR SURE. IT IS LEAKING AND FORD IS AWARE THAT THEY LEAK. YOUR TECH JUST DOES NOT WANT TO DO THE JOB OR LOOK FOR WHAT REALLY HAPPENING. MAKE THEM REPLACE THE HIGH PRESSURE PUMP. P.S THEY WILL HAVE TO REMOVE YOU ENTIRE CAB TO DO SO."

I kick myself every day for trading my '99 7.3 in on an '04 6.0, I have had nothing but trouble ever since. I have two older IDI 7.3's with high milage and they are both more reliable than this 6.4, and the '94 with the turbo can pull right with the 6.4!

It will be interesting to see what they find out. With coolant missing it sure points toward a head problem! At this point I don't even care, if it gets too crazy I am going to try and envoke the lemon law, I have had enough.

thats me. the dealer noted it was overfull and then told my 8 month pregnant wife to drain some out....
needless to say, its been changed, ford noted the level was correct and told me to watch it. its been about 700 miles and its already over full.
