6.4L Knocking??

I have an 08 F450 Dually with the Edge Juice with Attitude, MBRP exhaust, and Air Raid intake. I was towing (in tow mode) on Saturday and heard an extremely loud knocking followed by a EGR code. Next thing I know I back off the gas and my turbo pressure stays up 25 psi....the truck is propelling itself at this point. After a few seconds of this i proceed off the road and ease into the gas...I hear "boom" and the truck idle's but will not move. About a dozen codes followed including; Cylinder #2 failure,Crank/Camshaft failure,Fuel system press too high;Manifold overboost,etc.....

Any thoughts....I am worried to say the least.

The dealer obviously not really concerned with my problem as we rolled it off the tow truck. I became increasingly worried and annoyed when I saw 3 yeah thats right three! 08 250 with entire front end motor break downs and a 350 with the transmission out of it!!!!

Any info could help me with dealing with Ford on this as I am sure their first response will be "well there's an aftermarket computer on the truck....."

I had this going on with my 6.0. It sounded like knocking but would stop after warming up. Turned out to be my EGR cooler. if your throwing a code, look into that for sure

I had one in the dealer that leaked the coolant out of the rad, melted the EGR coolers and filled #8 cylinder FULL of water. Guess what water doesn't compress. Blew #8 piston in a lot of pieces and the piston pin got into the cylinder wall. 3 days later new motor in the box(well shrink rap to be exact). Hotline said NORMALLY they see failure in the #2 and #4 but #8 must have been pumping when it went out. As for the warranty, I don't know what they will say, radiator issue leading to engine failure, you might be alright, otherwise cash job.

Man this really sucks.

At least we get to see what Ford will do.

I hope it's covered.

I don't see how it would be covered. There is a sticker in plain sight under the hood, any modification will void powertrain/vehicle warranty. Ford has these engines at there limits of blowing head gaskets or other engine damage and then you add around 150-200 MORE horsepower with a chip and want Ford to pay for your engine failure.
