No not really. If you speed down the highway and get pulled over do you get a ticket?? If you shot and kill your neighbor and get caught do you go to jail. I just say Ford is not responsible for you adding parts, boosting horsepower and then braking something. If I refused or voided a warranty for a lift kit, big tires or something, then I am @$$hole, but you adding a chip or boost the piss out of and engine and it blows then its on you. If it was a Ford fault that caused a problem then I would warranty it all day long. I had a truck with low oil, wrong fuel that blew and I installed a warranty covered engine because the radiator was the root cause. If the chip is the root cause its on you.

Thats exactly what I'm saying. I've been working in THIS dealership for 4 years and never denied a warranty but if I had a 08 with a rod hanging out the side of the block and SuperChip decals all over the truck and bullydog chips and piggyback systems, then I raise an eyebrow.

I am no dealer but I highly doubt that Ford would put any engine on the market that is set to its limits..

The 6.0 blew many head gaskets stock. I have seen any 6.4's with blown head gaskets but the actual engine its self is mostly the same as a 6.0

Here we go, my favorite senario. The 6.0 is a great motor in my opinion but how can you void a guys warrenty for blowing the hell out of his head gaskets with an sct tuner, nitrous and a K&N when stock 6.0's blow the head gaskets out on a regular basis? Thats my point of view. Thanks for bringing that up.

Well they havent even looked at it yet and its not like I turned my truck into a dragster or something....all I added was the Edge chip anyway 150 additional horsepower would be quite and accomplishment for that chip in tow mode especially....The only code that indicates a problem is the fuel pressure too high code. The radiator did blow up about a month ago and I went back telling them since then the turbo was acting and sounding funny but they just said they didnt know why. As far as taking your "toys" out of a 6.4 it doesnt matter anyway....I have been told by several people including the manuals on the motor about the secondary ROM chip in the truck ....they'd have known anyway.

Well

some of us can tell, not all techs can. And the chance of Ford coming to look is slim.
