They almost never contact customers for TSB's, but you can stop in and inquire when you have time and they may just do the "repair" for ya.

I had to laugh when I started reading... "Which trucks"... The idea of multiple turbo's was a dead giveaway for most, no? heheh

David, since I haven't studied the truck, I was wondering about the "dual fuel tank applications" listed on the TSB info. Is that option back?

As far as I have seen the cab chassis models have duel fuel tanks.

The tank problems I saw was from the linings in steel tanks coming off. Biodiesel and some fuel additives could cause it and the tank has to be replaced.

6.4L Turbo Problems

I have a 08 Ford 6.4L turbo. Im bringing it into the dealer tomorrow morning for what I think is an issue with the turbo system. In the last week my avg miles per gallon has dropped by 2 miles per gallon (and my driving habits have not changed) and it feels weak under acceleration. I stepped on it and the psi wont rise above 21psi. My truck only has an easy 3500 miles. Anyone else experience problems with the turbo system? The power delivery isnt fluid like it has been and it sounds like the engine is "hissing" a whole lot more than its supposed to. I cant visually locate any problems. If anyone has any input let me know Thanks. Its definitely not off to a good start with the 6.4L...

Sounds like your loosing air pressure between the turbo compressor and the intake. Could be a leak somewhere in the pipes or the cooler.
