Well the DPF isn't going to get rid of the all of the black smoke despite what the EPA says, even in stock form......hell I was blown little puffs of black smoke all the time when I was stock......your seeing the smoke because of the SCT programming and more fuel its putting in the motor, but the strange thing is that your truck should be seeing regen more often than stock......I don't think there is crack in the DPF, because its very large and there would be a definate change in sound......I do have a question though, do you do a lot of highway driving?

100 miles 2 to workand back 4 times a week

i have the sct set to see when it goes in to regen so i know. but it has always been a little smokier than others, when i first got it in 05-22-07 drove it home from the dealer i had black soot in the tail pipe and all the other ones didnt. that i saw on the road.

now the problem is the sct didnt save my stock file. Tried returned the truck to stock still smokes like a tuned 6.0 L and trans shifts hard also, so im sure the stock file didnt re load. need to take it to the stealership for some warrenty work and do not need to be busted!!
