Test drove a 6.4, some questions

I went and test drove a 6.4 today 2008 f250 (also test drove a few 6.7s)
But anyway, I was checking the truck out. Nice looking truck. Got to looking under the hood.
Had oily grease on the hood above the turbos
Had oil all over the fan shroud
Oil leaking down from what looked like the intake/ EGR area?
Also oil on the front of the crossmember.

Truck has 111,000 miles and is bone stock.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Tyler

I'd say if you were serious about buying it have it independently inspected. Or just tell them all the issues you found just by opening the hood and give a serious low ball price on the truck.

2010 CC/SB FX4 Lariat.. Tuned By Eric@IDP and Matt@Gearhead

Thinking about getting rid of the stock 6.7 turbo?
Check this out... and research before buying

I agree with woodboy, why buy a high dollar truck that's fvcked up when you can spend about the same and get something in good condition? There's plenty of good trucks out there

Test drove a 2011, those things are nice...but come with a pretty price tag!

I like the 6.4s. Hopefully this dealer wants to wheel and deal.
Tearing into an engine doesn't scare me btw. Lol
