Sensor and complexity 6.0 to 6.4 opinions please?

Hello all fellow Ford Lovers!!!

My local Ford Importer here in Oz (Australia) is trying to move me up to an 08 6.4 .... I have an 07 Model King Ranch CC DRW F-350 LWB 4x4 with 4.10 gears... They obviously want me to upgrade as I build off-road vans and they can generate sales out my Company.. OK...

I bought my Dually thinking I would build a big gooseneck horsefloat and could not conquer the air brake demands here in Oz, so instead I upgraded the horsebox on my Dual Cab 4x4 Mack Truck you can see in my gallery if you like. Anyway the Dually is a bit big, LWB and a SRW SWB CC would be a lot easier around town parking

Now the issue is: OK, a 3.73 Geared SRW Short Bed 4x4 will get from reports, at least as good of fuel economy as my 6.0 and probably better with the 3.73.. And it is a whole lot easier to park using my truck around town mostly... If you were going to keep a truck long term, do you think the 6.4 is more run mechanically and will have less long term sensor problems than the 6.0??? Is this motor a move up or down for long term engine management systems maintenance???

Thank you in advance for your opinions... The 6.4 has not even been made road legal here in OZ yet, so I have to fly on your experiences.... Thank again.

There is someone that wants my 07 model King Ranch 4x4 CC LWB Dually...

Anyone have an opinion on the Thread about the 6.4 ? I am about to take the jump, to have one running here in Oz for the benefit of the Bushtracker Clients as the only on choice here is a V-8 Toyota and the new 200 Series Tojo seems fragile, moving towards a city vehicle....

The 6.4 might be the best tow vehicle for our Clients, and who better to have one to test than yours trully? Any opinions on a comparison between the mechanical cooling and sensors on the 6.0

Kind Regards to you Ford Lovers, from Oz, a Horseman out on the Last Frontier.....

The 6.4 is a great motor IMO. The only thing that i dont like about it is the DPF that the EPA requires over here in the US. Does it have it on the Aussie trucks?

Remains to be seen, it is near the end, but still has not been complianced (made legal) as yet in Oz... One thing here though, once it is legal and registered, so far there is no follow up like an exhaust gas test for registration or something..... We may be the "Frontier for Mods..." as there is no followup Legislation....

So what do you think:
Which is a long term more reliable engine, 6.0 or 6.4?

Regards, lone Ranger in Oz...

I'm sure it's too soon to tell Lone Ranger. Sorry, but no point in saying it if it can't be substantiated.
