fuel mileage

Is anyone having a problem with fuel mileage? We are averaging 6.9 with the 08 F450. That can not be right.

We are hauling a camper and pulling a trailer. But still, My F350 gets 15 pulling the same load.

Brand new, or some miles on it? Some guys are getting awful mileage, others are getting fairly normal numbers. I don't wanna say "keep driving it will improve" because it seems like there is really something wrong with that low of a number!

I would take it back to the dealer to make sure everything is up to snuff. Seems most are getting a little less then the 6.0, but that is terrible!

I get 8.8mpg at best on highway empty (7.8-8.0mpg around town) and 6.4mpg towing 14000# on highway in my f450. 4.30 rear.

Terrible.
