Ford Sucks!

Why would they make a TSB, knowing they have a known problem, create a solution, and not fix the problem??

I have a coolant leak out of the crappy 1 o-ring radiator hose, Ford made a TSB to fix it, the degas bottle, and radiator but since their crappy 3/36k miles warranty is up (only 50k on the truck) I have to pay out of pocket. How do they expect us to meticulously maintain these trucks and then make us pay thousands to fix your bad designs.

I'm sure Dodge and Chevy are similar.

That's why I can't wait to get a 2013. I'm getting an extended bumper to bumper warranty and their prepaid maintenance package. Can't wait to get out of my '09 money pit.

yawn....

you're not the only one who has a ford diesel with problems, be glad it's something as small as a coolant leak and hasn't escalated into a failed horizontal cooler and a bent connecting rod

which will happen if you let that leak go long enough

Yup add me to the list, just found mine doing the same thing tonight. Mine has 80k on the odo, I already have done the degas bottle, I guess it just gives me an excuse to the hose and t-stats too. Could be worse I guess.....these are small problems to fix, PITA problems but small non the less.
