Did you tell Ford what you wanted?

[quote=Frankie the Gun;346047]I can empathize with your situation and I am glad that it worked out. Not so much for me (read the message I sent to Ford below). Fords reply back was "what do you want us to do about it." I was so angry, I went out and bought a Dodge 2500 with the 5.9L. I enjoy the Dodge, but need a dually. Recently I ordered a new 2008 4x4 Crew Cab Dually with the 6.4L hoping that the "Bugs" have been worked out, but after reading the threads about fuel milage I am having doubts; I even posted a thread on should I buy the Ford or stick with the Dodge? (2008 Should I?) I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Good luck.QUOTE]

Did you tell Ford what you wanted? I know that their question sounds sarcastic I got some of that feeling with my dealings too. But I kept answering their question with the answer that I either wanted a new ECU or a new pickup- I even visited my lawyer for advice and he said the same thing. Eventually I prevailed and now my truck is running really great. I still think Ford could do a lot better in the area of listening to us their customers and their reason for being. Don't back down! You don't even have to yell- just be persistant and be sure of your facts and what you want done. The people on this web site gave me a lot of good advice and encourgement through the process. I bet that someone at Ford reads this also. If that doesn't get them moving - try talking to a newspaper, a truck magizine, the BBB, the Nat. Highway Safety Comission and any one else who can apply pressure to both the dealer and FMC. Good Luck

Mike

No, in retrospect I should have, I was hoping customer service would prevail and Ford would provide me with a solution?

I have always owned Fords. YIKES I'm a little scared right now. $54,000 F250 crew cab loaded. And I don't know what I've gotten myself into.
wonder what caused the incident
