anyone ever broke their water seperator knob

Today I decided to drain the fuel bowl. The lever to drain it wouldnt move so I started to put a little extra pressure on it and it broke off. is that common?

I am guessing I have to replace the whole side piece now? wtf

Nope! Mine is intact.
Sorry about your bad luck. Try to replace just the side plate, ask your local dealer if they have just that part for sale.

Yeah it sucks. I called the dealer where I bought it 2 weeks ago and they are going to replace it and the fuel filters for free. So I am better now.

That's what I call excellent customer service. Glad the dealer is taking care of your truck, keep us informed.

You can get the lever and cover seperately. For future reference if the lever won't move don't force it, remove the three T20 torx screws from the cover and the lever will come out. There are 2 o-rings under the cover, a little lube on these will work wonders.
