'08 Power/Smoke Issues

On more than one occasion I've had issues with my truck under heavy acceleration. Yesterday I stepped on it to pass someone while I was driving. The truck spooled up the turbo and started to take off. While doing that, it just bucked (twice) and then the power was gone. Initially I thought maybe it was my defuel levels but then I looked at the max EGT and it was only 1035, and I had my turbo refuel off. All the temps were in the normal range too.

I've noticed lately that some of my exhaust smoke has turned from pure black to a light black/grey. I haven't puked any coolant to my knowledge and I changed my oil last week.

I'm running the HD300/HOT tune on an 08 6.4l with 58k miles. Deleted and a CAI. Any advice on what this could be??

There was a recall for the charge air cooler which under heavy acceleration in humid or damp weather that caused the truck to studder I believe and there might have been something including grey smoke.

Took the truck in for repairs and they found a leaking front cover gasket and the oil pump gasket was replaced too. Not sure if any leakage in those two could cause it to leak oil inside the engine anywhere, causing the smoke.
