Angry Rad is P.O.S.

Well, only 4000 miles on my 08 F-550 and already have an issue. The rad needs to be replaced as it is leaking at the tank crimp. Why is the world wouldn't ford stay away from those stupid crimp on rad tanks. Haven't they learned anything over the years?

lol its kinda like their twin traction beam front end... it only took them 18 years to correct that design flaw! iv taken a pair of channel locks and re crimped the ford pos radiator tanks before. seems like they leak the worst when its cold out and the seal shrinks.

I've heard a ton of stuff with the 08 radiators...

I was in the dealership getting parts for my truck and there were two in the service bay both getting new ones. I asked the tech about them and he said it's about the 8th one in the past few months he's had to replace.

I agree with the radiator issue.....but I kinda have to disagree with the twin traction beam statement.....that is by far the best baja long travel suspension you can get with a budget, unless you have deep pockets for a IFS suspension a early 90's ranger or F150 is the way to go

Talked to the dealer today and he told me that the 08 rads were on back order and ford is getting rads from a new supplier. Gee, I wonder if we are going to see a run on radiator failures.

I had mine replaced also, from what I understand, Ford has a TSB on radiators for a particular time period.
