Leaking Coolant?

I am looking at buying a 2008 F250. The guy sent me a picture of the hood and it looked like there were white spots on the overflow tank. Is this normal or is it a sign the coolant is leaking.

Get it pressure tested. Could be blown head gaskets. The white residue is dried coolant that probably puked out the top of the degas bottle.

yup it very well could be head gaskets. Like stated above get the coolant system pressure tested to make sure. Also could be the coolant is a little too full, a bad degas bottle cap or egr coolers.
