Check Engine Light But Running Fine

I was driving to work today and after 200km in to the trip the Check Engine light came on. I pulled over to make sure everything was okay as far as obvious problems. Everything seemed fine, all fluid levels good, no strange noises, no loss of power, no smoke from the exhaust, no weird smells, no strange running temperatures. I ran the info thing on the screen and it checked the truck and all that checked out fine. Now the lights still on after I finished my trip (another 80km) and I am going to take my truck into the nearest dealership so they can run the code and let me know whats wrong. I have an 08' F-350 with only 29,000km on it. I thought I would ask you guys if anyone has any ideas what it could be. I only ask because I needed to hook up to my 32 foot trailer after work tomorrow and pull it about 10km to another place but now Im worried about driving my truck anymore than I have to with this stupid light on in my dash. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

without the code it could be anything my check engine light was on for months and it was because of the cold air intake.

that makes me feel better. i just installed an s&b intake on my truck about Month ago so im hoping that's throwing the code. i'm gonna check the code myself with my laptop cuz ford charges 150 bucks for a diesel diagnostic, what a rip off, it only takes 4 minutes and they quote an hour and a half.
