Results of code PO297 2008 f450

We were towing a trailer(12,000) and the truck was lazy. No codes on the dash but with a code reader PO297 inj came up(speed control?) Would this code put the truck into a safer mode?
We had just started and never came near the 81 mph(135kph) limit. It acted like an 8 cyl gas missing a plug. Lazy. Boost got to 30 lbs but was slow building and at 55 mph(90k) was alot lower.
Will clearing code restore power?
