2010 f350 6.4 issues

Long time lurker. I have gleaned alot of info here and now I have a problem. Truck has 18000 miles. Just had an oil change and the fuel filters changed at valvoline. Used motorcraft filters as I had the last time. First of all I noticed my fuel mileage took a crap! Today on the way home from work I was at a stop light and a message flashed that said "pull over safely now". Then the engine quit. I pushedout to the edge of the road and after I did i was able to start it. It acted as if it was starved of fuel. Seems to run fine now. What could be the problem?

It went onto limp mode possibly for some reason. Do you have any ways to read codes

ive noticed a lot of time its either a bad egt sensor or egrt sensor when that message appears, but you need to read codes to see whats wrong. if its a P040D than its a egrt sensor.

No, I don't. Gonna go to the local autozone tomorrow to find out. It threw a p2084 earlier last week. Could that have anything to do with the issue?
