white smoke
White smoke came out 3 times at 65 mph about 5 miles apart last one killed engine and want turn over (think egr cooler leaked and the white smoke was steam ) Any advise where to start Ford shop say new engine only will fix it.

you nailed it. sounds the engine ingested a bunch of coolant bent a rod. I've seen them kick out the wrist pin into the wall too. you'll feel it when you're trying to spin it by hand to get the convertor nuts out.
Unfortunately I've seen this a few times and I've never seen one come out of a coolant hydrolock without serious damage. The only thing you can do is pull the glow plugs out and see how freely the engine spins. |
