More problems..

I was under my truck today, draining the filter/water seperator on the frame rail, and I noticed a slight oil film on my engine's oil pan.. I followed it up to the front, and it's coming from behind the crank pulley.. Looks like the front main crank seal is leaking..

To top it off.. my power folding mirrors decided to get stuck halfway open today as I was parking in a tight spot.. They started working again after returning to the vehicle about 30 minutes later.

I tell you what.. I'm starting to regret buying this truck.. The mileage is horrible, it's got a bunch of bugs, and now, I've got a oil leak on a engine that's 7 months old. I love the ride and the looks.. it tows fine.. but, Jesus.. what's next?!

There is another post on a crank seal going bad on the new 6.4's. Not sure if this is widespread or just a few causing problems.

I feel your pain. My 08 F250 SD with 1500 miles crapped out on me Sun. afternoon on a busy hwy. Some sort of fuel delivery problem. Haven't heard a word out of my dealership. My mileage really sucks. I know from past experience it will get better. Maybe they'll get these issues worked out. I'm stuck for another 46 payments.

My crank seal has already been replaced, it took the dealer two days. . .two days actually in the shop with the mechanic working on it. They had to pull all the radiators (6), fan shroud, fan, etc to change to seal. One of the radiators is quite beat up across the top (aluminum radiator) after the repair and now one of the other radiators (fuel cooler) is leaking and hopefully will be replaced this week if they dealer can get one. This truck has already been in the shop for eight days since April; which is more shop time than my 2000 had in the seven years I owned it.

Eight miles to the gallon, no power, and now this!

Love the truck, hate the 'choke.

Outside salesman for the largest Ford truck dealer in Phoenix was in our shop on Friday morning, he stated that they don't have any satisfied '08 Powerstroke customers; mostly related to horrible mpg's and poor power.

i had my 08 built from ford the way i wanted it and i havent had a single problem yet.. but my sister bought one off the lot and has many problems.. the powerscope mirrors quit working, pulled to the left real bad and has been in the shop 5 times for that already.. was looking under the seat and found out 2 of her seat bolts werent even in and it took ford 2 times to actually fix that.. i havent heard no problems from anyone who had there truck built for them, but buying off the lot has been problems for others.. think ford is trying to get them out so fast there getting real lazy out there

Mine was also born in 02/07 and purchased off the lot. My brothers was built to order and other than the horrible mpg's has had no issues.
