o8 6.4 reduced power wont run over 2000 rpm no skip or eng light

was running at 78 on cruise,cruise turned off and would not set back and wont turn over 2000,rpms weather running down the rd or taking off
please help,thanks

Thats The Same Problem I Have My Truck Wont Go Over 2000 RPM'S Either And No Check Eng Light. I Took It To The Dealer And They Are Trying To Fix It Right Now. Im Getting It Back On Monday And I Will Tell You What They Fixed. I Have A 08 6.4

Did you have he recent pcm update?

In that update it monitors oil temp and other issues that can cause catastrophic failures more closely. It will de-rate the engine and throw a wrench light as well. id almost assume it has something to do with the regen operation or possibly a partially plugged dpf.

They Changed My High Pressure Fuel Pump And The New Powertrain Control Module Update And My Truck Dont Have That Problem Any More.

Powerstrokeman 6.4 when they did your HPFP did they pull the cab off to do it. I am having the same problem with my 6.4. The Biggest Problem Is That Iam 8000 km Over The Warrenty And My Diesel Care Warrenty At That The Dealer Sold Me Does Not Cover The Fuel Pump. So Here Iam Now In A Conversation With Ford Canada,Pretty Sure I knew The Outcome On This One.
