TRUCK DIED

OK, after cleaning out my fuel Sep. i put it back together. fairly easy, no leaks, So i decided to take it to work, At lunch there was puddle of diesel about where the Sep. is. and it was dripping, I cranked it up and it stopped leaking, OK no problem i'll get a gasket on my way home, Well Before i could get out of town it died at the light, fuel drain from sep. SO now i'm getting the New gasket, on my way home today. But why did it quit running like that AIR in lines? it was running good b4 that. ANd what do i have to do to get it back on the road again? ? change gasket and???? prime the system? I'm hoping after the gasket install it primes up doing the 30 sec. on thing (6) times, What else??

sounds like some of the fuel came out of the lines between the engine filter and the sperator.. and it just wasn't primed.. i would install the new parts your getting.. prime it.. and it should be good.. if its still dies.. might be another small problem you might be overlooking.. doesn't sound like anything major
