PITA, probably a good idea to pull the hood so you can get as much room to lift them out as possible because they are F-ing heavy! There is to main bolts that hold the turbos in place, and a bunch of other hardware that has to be undone on the drivers side, and of course the down pipe and oil supply lines. I may be missing a couple things cause its been awhile since ive done mine..be careful when you set them back on because the oil drain is really easy to crush especialy if your in an awkward position trying to get the turbos back in place.

turbos should be done cab off but they can be done cab on. an engine hoist would be advisible due to the weight

the biggest problem is getting the up-pipe bolts off the high pressure turbo outlet

would you be interested in trying a partial cab lift? if so PM me and i'll give you some details

I have done 2 hpfp's on 2 different 6.4 f250s in the last 3 weeks and its not a cab off job. I didnt even pull the hood man. Get the coolant bottle out of the way and all the fuel coolant system out of the way and the turbos are right there. There are 2 bolts with large hold-downs that hold the turbos to the pedistel and the oil supply lines on top and the downpipe and the hardest part is the up-pipes that bolt to the turbo. Those take time to get out and thats probably why people say its a cab off job but it can be done, I promise. It took me and a buddy about 8 hours total to complete the replacment of the injection pump and replace 1 injector.
