Weak at low RPM's

Is it normal for the 6.4L to seem like it has no power until somewhere around the 2500RPM mark??? It accelerates sooooo slow until I really put down the throttle. As soon as the RPM's come up and the boost reaches about 25lbs or so, she takes off. I'll be doing the DPF delete soon, but want to make sure the truck is running right to begin with.

I think so. I whined and complained for 3 months about sluggishness and things like that to my dealer until he let a tech go for a ride with me on my regular travel areas. I was told that it was pretty much in line with others he has been in, driving and riding. He said, personally, it can be much more responsive tuned and dpf removed, but, as a person that is employed by Ford that he couldn't recommend me doing that.
