finally back from dealer,egr question

i just got my truck back from dealer after two months.dealer replaced entire fuel system due to hpfp failure.my question is ,how often does the stock egr system cycle ,and when?it seems like it is not cycling like it used to,it only opens up at full throttle at highway speed,never at idle or low speed.is this normal?it has been so long i cant remember how often it used to open up.thanks
