First trip to the dealer with my 2008

Knock on wood LOL

The old 6.4 ate an alternator bearing and a belt tensioner, not sure which first, but at 40K it had its first visit to a dealer

Not a great dealer, they broke a windshield washer squirter and said they'd mail be one. Not sure why they were messing with the underneath of the hood with an alternator change and the truck ain't talking LOL

So far so good, hope the truck's track record continues!

I caught the bearing going out on the alternator ....before any major trouble....dealer fixed....it

I would like to check mine while it is still under warranty. How did you "catch" the bearing going out - was it making noise?
