It Will Blow Up!!!!

This is off topic, but I'm sure this will make you guys laugh as it made me laugh As many of you know I'm working with my 6.4 to help myself and others do what we aren't suppose to do and thats blow black smoke, anyway on Saturday I called the Stealership to order a part for my 6.4 and the parts guy, in a heavy east Texas accent, asked me what do I need this for? I told him just because, and he goes ya' know your not suppose to mess with these dang trucks? I said really, I thought those were only rumors...he tells me (I'm laughing as I'm typing this) NO sir those are NOT rumors, in fact I just got done taking a class on these trucks and they are built right out there on the edge!!! and I said the on the edge huh? and he goes yeah thats right on the edge, in fact if you do just darn one thing to change it, IT WILL BLOW UP!!! It took everything I had not to just bust out laughing, so I told him if you only knew so I better order this part in a hurry then.....he sir I will overnight for free for you....hahahahahahahaha...awesome!!! Just thought I would share that with you guys....

That's hilarious.

Everybody knows they build engines, transmissions, etc that are capable of way more than what they sell them at. They have to to get longevity.

Well according the "parts guy" that is not the case, cause remember these trucks are built from the factory already on the edge of everything...... uh huh yeah, hahahaha

tell me about it Jason - I tried to order a set of steps - the chrome 5" tube steps - they gave me a price and I asked is that for the chrome steps or the aluminum ones like yours... they were like... well, I think its the ones you want but we don't have a different part number for the options... yeaaah riiiight!

Also couldn't order the right headlamp clips after I broke 3 trying to get them off when replacing my headlamps!

yah - bout blew his mind when I asked "Well how do you get the different types of steps/boards on two different trucks if you only have one part number?"

all I got was a blank stare and him shrugging his shoulders!!! Makes me glad we have a place like this to find the info before we go to the dealership!
