Wife calmly says "uh, no brakes or steering"

My wife was driving while headed out to fish. Paved road, easy driving, and she calmly says she cant steer and the brakes aren't working. My first thought was"she's kidding". But, both her feet were on the brake and her arms were shaking she was pulling the wheel so hard. We managed to stop by coasting up a hill. No load and the trailer was off or I don't think it would have been a pretty ending. Serpentine belt slipped off. Really? Truck has 15k miles on it. I'm running a dpf/cat delete with stock SCT tune. Dealer repaired under warranty. Is this happening to other people?

My 6.0 did the same thing, the brakes and steering went when the one belt tensioner broke and cut the belt. Not good engineering on Ford's part.

I would have freaked in that situation ... Ive had this happen multiple times in my F-150, you wanna talk about design flaw when one sensor went bad in the motor it puts the truck in failsafe mode shuts engine off no matter what your doing, no powersteering barely any brakes couldnt imagine with my powerstroke
