Cooling fan running noise???

Hey guys, noticed today when I left work a odd sound coming from under the hood. The outside air was around 38 degrees, and when the truck got up to around 90-100 it started making a fan noise. Did this all the way home. Wouldn't do it when I put it in neutral and just coasted. Any time under a load it did. Sounded like the cooling fan was kicked in and sh*tngettin it. Why would it have been engaged under these conditions?? Ive never heard this before. BTW 2008, F250, CC, SW, Spartanized.

Is it low on power or boost. Maybe a hole in one of the i/c boots?

No, not low on power or boost. Just sounds like the fan is kicked in.

Just went out to go to work and the truck wouldn't turn over. No click, nothing. Pulled 2 codes off: P1000 OBD systems readiness test not complete, and a U0073 Control module communications error. Went ahead and drove the wife's truck tonight. Any ideas??

Mine does the same thing. You have to read the codes and clear them with to get the truck to start. I have had this happen a few times now. Like you im looking for answers. I have read lots of different forums on this topic. One guy said his trailer control module was causing it, another said its a short somewhere in the cables from the TCM to the transmission, and another says its the ECM. So, who knows. Im in the same boat as you. Hopefully we can get some answers. Good luck!
