When at idle, Sound engages every 10 seconds

Some sound engages when idling every 10 seconds and then goes off for 10 seconds. Very suttle noise but noticeable.

Is this normal or does it sound like it's having issue.

definetly not exhaust, almost sounds like a fan kicking on. I just started to notice this also. Turbos have been replaced.

I wonder why I'm just noticing this, weird.

It comes on for 10 seconds, off for 10 seconds, on, off, on, off. You get the point.

Mine does that, but I'm pretty sure it's the EGR cycling. It is louder now than when I bought my truck new. Maybe just the EGR getting some soot in there causing a little noise? Not sure, just throwing out some ideas. I haven't worried about it. I'm tired of taking mine into the dealer and them telling me there is nothing wrong with it. So, I'm just going to drive it until it blows up.

AC cycling? Try turning your AC on and off and see if it makes a difference.
