P0088 Help me

Well my truck has been acting up on me these past few weeks while towing with the 210 heavy tow tune. it will run fine then if u let off then start pushing it again it will start missin like crazy an throw the P0088 code. I can start it in the mornin and drive about 20 miles get a load and come back the other 20 an it drives fine i shut it off and eat lunch then when i start it back up and take off again it does it ..i can clear the code and the truck runs fine it has done this exact same thing for 4 straight days. I took it to the dealer and he put new fuel filters in it but that seems to have not worked. Any ideas guys

That code seems to show up when you either have bad fuel or high exterior temps... IIRC spartan revised the tune to prevent that code from triggering.

Is it an early build truck?

yes it is a job 1 and i have the most updated spartan tunes i have been running that tune for probably 5 months

i got the same issue when its hot outside,,if im towing and its over 90 it triggers the code , mines a job 2

Does this PO0088 code have to do with excessive high fuel pressure....I had a problem at 117,000 miles. This code might have to do with excessive high fuel pressure, I had to have the the high pressure fuel pump replaced by the dealer, cost to me 0 dollars...because of my 21 major engine componets warranty. This had nothing to do with bad fuel or fuel filters, I was told by the diesel tech ...this was expected because of the high pressure fuel pump design. My truck is still stock so I had no issues with the warranty....cost to Ford was $ 3100.00

I sure hope it isnt the HPFP im wantin a suncoast and if this is the problem there goes that out the window
