Check Engine Light Always On

So my truck went into regen mode recently, and as always, the check engine light came on. Well, it has stayed on for 2 weeks and approx 1100 miles without any power loss or any other problems. I know this happens sometimes with these regen cycles on the DPF's, but how long should the light stay on in reality?

Would a DPF Delete Kit solve this problem (my main concern is that something really is wrong with the engine, but I wouldn't know it because the dealership said that the light is supposed to be for awhile)? Am planning on getting one soon anyway.

I don't feel like paying the dealership $150 to run the codes and end up resetting the ECM. Again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

well it could mean a few different things, your dpf could need the ash cleaned out,in which case you drop the dpf and tap it out.and if that doesnt do it then i say take your truck to autozone and get them to read the code for free, eff paying ford to do it.that way you know what it is and can make them address the issue if it is something else.

I think you need to find a new dealer. Anyone that tells you that the check engine light should be on is an idiot.
