Truck died and wont start

I have a 06 6.0l f-350, truck was running great and then it acted weak with no power then died. I was running with about 1/8 of a tank of fuel. Truck wont start at all. I took off the fuel filter cap on top of the engine and turned the key on and no fuel built up in it. I am having the shop look at it but any suggestions? hpop? Thanks.
