The leak is right there in between the 2 bolts. It is not coming from the top.

sounds like you got a crack, either take it in to dealer or try to find a penetrent crack insp,in aviation we call it ndi(nondestructive inspection).they make several kinds but i would think the dyes would be cheapest.

[QUOTE=PIPO;1962880]Here I'm at a jiffy lube getting my first oil change and the manager asked me to come downstairs to take a look at an oil leak I have....wtf! Has anyone seen this before? Now I have to put it back to stock to take it in....that just sucks!

Quick suggestion from experience. Lose the in and out quick (Jiffy Lube) mentality and start taking it to a dealer for ALL maintenance. If you do run into any warranty related issues that get up there in price (fuel system replacement, engine replacement, etc.) they will try and hand you your *** because they can. It's weel worth the e
extra little bit of time to have the dealer do all your oil, filter, etc. changes and it will help you down the road if something were to happen to your rig.

My 08 has had that leak since 10K or so. I have had 3 rear seals put in. The dealer said "we did a dye test and it is not leaking". Thats wierd because there is still oil dripping off it on my garage floor.
I just started to add oil every 1500 miles. It doesn't seem to get worse overtime so I'm not worried about it.

Make sure they clean it off good, put dye in it, drive it at least 15 miles, and remove the starter.
The bed plate tends to leak behind the starter.
There will be oil on top of the upper oil pan below the starter.
Seen alot of guys misdiagnose as a rear main seal.
The rear main seal seldom leaks.
