My truck is still at ford. They never said what the problem was yet. All i have been told is there was alot of metal in the oil pan. So they are going to get a replacement motor

I have the same problem mine is at its extreme point of malfunction, we've been on the phone with Ford for some time as our warranty is long over and the truck had developed this loud ticking noise slowly getting worse. After they replaced the 4th EGR and tried to make us pay.NOT LIKELY. Ford mechanics said its eaither a lifter or cam lobe wore off so keep driveing it for a week and see what happens(on the 4th day now), Our Dealer is trying to get us a new motor after we told him that if he dont fix they can keep it. Simple as that for 1400$ a month. If you are serten on the problem let me know the more info I can get will help me in arguments with Ford.
