turbo boost valve

Took my 09 F350 to dealer or should I say got towed from the side of the road. Driving truck lost all power and would not go over 15 MPH. Dealer called today and says it needs a turbo boost pressure relief valve?? Can someone in lighten me about this? Is it common? Hard to replace they are keeping the truck
another day?

Thanks a ton

I've never heard of a turbo boost pressure relief valve. That's why we put blow off valves in these trucks.

The 6.4 doesn't have a wastegate unless you do the EGR delete and put a wastegate in.

They where talking about the EGR valve. How long does it take to replace an EGR valve? They had the truck two days to replace the EGR valve.

The valve itself is on top of the engine and easy to get to. They most likely had to order the valve from a warehouse.
