Regen
I bought my truck used from Ford with 10,000 miles. A Ford lemon law buy back. 13,000 miles later, it seems to run fine but has never shown anything to do with regen on the display. My son's 6.4 does it all the time and I've seen it while driving it. I can't imagine that Ford sold me something with a gutted DPF (cause it's there) and different programming to skip regen. She never throws a check engine light either. Does Ford have a different program that would not display regen? Mines a 08 Job 1.

9-19-10, the newest flash, has the message pop up for 2 seconds then disappears. You won't know it's in regen unless you listen to the engine change sounds.

There is an update for the Job 1 trucks that will show when the engine in in a regen cycle. Surprises me that the Ford dealer would not have checked to see if it was done though. Look in to it. Hopefully that is all it is. Cheers!

Maybe that's it? I'm thinking it wouldn't even run if it had not done a regen in 13,000 miles. I'm usually so good at noticing the instrument panel though?

So you are saying that an 08 Job 1 is not supposed to display regen info unless it's updated? That would make mine normal.

mine regened again today. The message flashed up for two seconds and disappeared. It did not say cleaning complete when it finished.

I had my truck serviced yesterday. It still had the original job 1 program. They could not believe it at Ford. It now has the most current version. Thanks for the advice!
