umm magical coolant

before anybody says this is a repost and for me to search the forum i already have.ive read all the coolant issues threads on here and nothing useful.but here is my problem....checked my coolant one day and it was low so i filled it and scheduled a day with the service shop as i have just bought my first diesel so it shouldnt be leaking(41500m).any way so i filled it to get it through the weekend cause they cant get me in til monday(they are pretty backed up i guess).well now one day its low and one day its high....its like the eng. or rad. is holding a qt. somewhere.ive seen this problem on helicopters before and i know the problem there.usually always comes down to double servicing but seeing as how i doubt anyone is coming behind me and draining or adding coolant to my truck i dont think that is the issue.any help would be great cause i really dont have time for them to keep my truck for a week to hunt down a leak that isnt there....ive also looked for fluid but cant find any in the eng. bay or the exhaust and also no white smoke so i dont think its a head gasket unless im missing something.maybe its just a troll in my coolant tank drink it.
