How many coolant leaks???
I currently have 86000 miles on my truck right now. It has seen 4 new radiators. 2 misc. coolant hoses and a new "front cover gasket
??" They put the new gasket in last week and replaced a hose that looked like it was about to go bad soon. Long story short I went out to my truck this morning and there is a small puddle of coolant under the truck. I only get this when the truck is parked overnight. It never leaks once it warms up and I drive it around. Anybody know what this might be. The dealership injected dye into the coolant but maybe they missed something. I called my service writer up and he was going to email Ford and see what to do next. How many coolant problems have some of Yall had? It is a job 1 truck Thanks Deano |

TSB 09-23-1 for trucks built 9/14/2009 and prior. Thermostat issues cause repeat radiator failures.

Unfortunately its not the radiator. I have had 4 fail. This is a good one. I know where to look for leaking when the radiators bad. The leaking that Im seeing on the driveway is behind the radiator. Im getting tired of it being in the shop for coolant leaks. Like I said I have 86,000 miles on the truck and its almost out of warranty. I thought about extended warranties but why spend money on that. Its either that or buy a new truck.

the tsb be isnt for radiator issues. its for other issues causing leaks.

Only coolant losses I've seen so far on the 6.4 are the following:
-Radiator -Upper radiator hose at the thermostat housing -EGR cooler hose at the back of the horizontal cooler -EGR cooler (horizontal) |

Where are the coolant spots? Front, back, right, left?

If it's towards the driver's side more than the passenger, I'd bet the upper radiator hose is leaking at the T-stat housing.
