Oil leak
Does anyone know of any past discussions on the 6.4 leaking oil between the oil pan and the tranny? Maybe a rear main? My truck has 28000 miles and its a job1 truck built 05/07. Thanks for any info.

Bed plate seal....mine did this but it was the o-ring for the dipstick.

Is it leaking on the ground or did you just look under and see it?

Went underneath in anticipation of putting my delete on and found it had drops forming and coated in oil. Cleaned it up and degreased it then let it idle til it warmed up. Went back underneath and found fresh oil coming from one of the bolts directly under the starter. Took a pix to show the dealer.

Bolts under the starter, that sounds like bedplate. That sucks.

Mine is leaking in the same area and I have had two rear seals in the last 3 weeks. I asked them to check the bedplate but they said the dye was showing the rear seal. I find it less of a head ache to just add oil and put a drip pan under my truck. Pretty sad considering what one of these costs.

Rear cover gasket perhaps...
IF it's warranty I'd keep taking it back until they fixed it |

This is becoming an issue for me as well. 08 250 6.4L, 48000Mi. I already replaced 2 O-ring gaskets and 2 Rear mains. Unfortunately I think my time with this truck is coming to an end. did anyone figure out the actual problem yet?
