A BIG HELP, 6.4 ENGINE DIAGRAMS, SENSORS, FUEL, COOLING, ROUTING, EVERYTHING

Hello Friends,

This is Courtesy of Dieseltorkin, and having looked at all the blow up engine diagrams I think everyone should download it, all 103 pages...

INVALUABLE.!!!! Double click on it, and download the whole PDF, the pictures of sensor locations and water and oil and fuel routes is INVALUABLE..

http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...ble%20Book.pdf

I apologise if it is already well known, I just discovered it for myself, and the locations for all the sensors, and the fuel routing is GREAT!!! Note, a lot of sensor failures on exotic engines are just a loose plug to clean...

If you only know where to look, and EGT sensor plug, any sensor, with this manual you can go over all the sensors or to a specific one: Clean, check plug, or replace it...

6.4 Appretice Tech ......in Australia....

Yes, coffee table books are available for the 6.0 and 7.3

I will try and locate them for you, I can't remember if they're online or not through motorcraft.

The 6.4 book should be used with caution though - the high pressure fuel system on the 6.4 Powerstroke Diesel is capable of producing fuel pressures in excess of 25,000psi. The second you stop respecting this fuel system, IT KILLS YOU.

Jake,

Look above on this Forum in the 6.0 Tech section. A few years ago I downloaded the "6.0 Bible" from there for the last KR I had with the 6.0. It was similar...

Big Angry Hillbilly, what a pan handle! Are you telling us you are some kind of Deliverance sort of RedNeck...

Now don't fly off the handle and go kick your dog, I am just kidding...

WHAT A PAN HANDLE!!! We have those sorts in Deliverance, I mean Tasmania (same thing)...

Great diagrams, revealing more than I thought I knew. However, Engine Accessories are not covered, e.g., Air Conditioning.

Do you know of a similar book that covers Engine Accessories?

Thank you for the time you took to put this book out for all members to download, should they wish.
