FORD techs have you seen this?

[IMG][/IMG]

This is the second time I have seen this. All eight rods are bent and kind of twisted. Six of them are hitting the crank counter wieghts. The unit came in with the oil very overfull and dilluted with fuel. Both banks are dumping fuel into the exhaust and cyl #2 has no compression. Iv only pulled the pan so far on this one and I wont beable to get back to this job till late friday at the earliest.

Have any of you techs seen this do you know the root cause of the rods bending? The last one we just swapped the engine because the cylinders were damaged but I dont see any damage on these yet.

Im gonna pull the head on the left bank once I get back to this job.

I know you FORD guys see these alot more than I do so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Wylie

Have seen a couple.

EGR coolers leaking by chance? Seen them hydro the motor pretty quick when they go.

Also seen leaking injectors cause this, which sounds like what may be your case with your fuel in oil. How much did you drain out of it?

I had a truck staying in constant regeneration I drained 30qt out of awhile back.

Is that a 6.4 PSD or a 6.4 MAXXFORCE engine?
