Bigbomar4,

I have to go back to the question of whether this is really a problem. This smell is very obvious before it gets to operating temperature but once it gets there (192 degrees) it decreases greatly. Does the fact that it goes away (or at least decreases a great deal) after a while make it less likely to really be a problem? Is this more a function of temperatures getting colder here in Illinois?

I cant say it is a problem or not with out being there myself. How cold is it getting there at night? Is there any smoke when it is smelling like this? I have two busses with 6.4s in the shop right now that have weird smelling exhaust but not quiet a rotten egg smell but they also white smoke really bad. I need more info before I say it is a problem or not. Hopefully one of the Ford techs will chime in here since they have seen more of them.

Probably the cold is not the issue. This truck is garage kept so it doesn't sit outside. The outside temp was in the 40's while driving but it didn't sit in that overnight. No excess white smoke that I can see. No real sign of a problem that I can see except for the sulfur smell.
