Im trying to unbolt the torque convertor bolts on a 6.4 and Im wondering how to turn the engine over so I can get the TQ convertor to spin so I can continue to remove the bolts. The crank has a cover on it with 3 or 4 bolts. The cab is already off. The fan is still on
Any help is appreciated
Thank you
I unbolt ed the trans and slid it back about 2 inches and put two short screwdrivers in through the bottom bellhousing bolts and used two big screwdrivers to walk the teeth on the flex plate but I was pulling the trans with the cab on.
a little late to save the day but i just hook up a remote start switch to the starter and bump the starter over
the other option if to put a socket on the crank center bolt but not all have the center bolt so you may need to source one
( probably why the op mentioned the 3 bolts)
