Disable pats key ?

Does anyone know how to disable the pats key security system, reason :
every once in awhile turn the key to start & nothing, radio shuts off lights and the dash lights flash & the security symbol flashes quikly, take the key in & out like programing a spare key & eventually the truck will all of a sudden turn over, but no start, turn the key back & retry & its running - one of these times tho

Thanks

Mine does the same thing. It's done it twice. I also have gotten a "trailer brake fault" 4 times, and the engine will not start for about 10 minutes. Really makes me mad.

Yes, there is a way to by-pass. Do a search. I don't feel like being roasted, so find it for yourself. It's REALLY easy to do.

At the dealer level I can't shut PATS off. Even my engineer buddy has PATS on his test truck, and he has to do the 10 minute bullshiz access wait time also, and he WORKS AT FORD.

If you truck still has warranty take it in! It may be a PATS tranciever or a faulty key.
