Icon stabilizer shocks

I just put a rize daul stabilizer bracket with icon stabilizer shocks on my truck. When I was putting it on I broke tab (circle at the top mount side) that the boot goes on so I took the boots off. My question, is it ok to run them with out the boots. well its done now anyhow just wanted some feed back. Thanks. Mark.

You can run them without boots. Downside of not running boots is that it leaves the shafts and seals exposed.

Hey DC what did you mean exactly about the shafts and seals. I just ordered the ouo blocks 4 1/2 inches and I forgot all about the U-bolts. Aren't they set up for 3/4 U-bolts. which ones will I need .

If a rock or something flies up the boot protects the shaft and the shaft seal. Without the boot there is a chance that the rock will hit it. Although the shaft is nitro steel so it is hard to prevent chipping and pitting, and the chance of something hitting the seal is small.

With the OUO blocks you can run either standard 5/8" diameter u-bolts or the 3/4" diameter u-bolts.
