Anyone here have the Warn HD Winch Bumper, part #74777

I was wondering if anyone on this message board had bought the Warn HD Winch Bumper for their 08+ Super Duty. I have never seen one in person, and the pictures online are terrible. The best pictures I could find were on the Diesel power Magazine website in their "Contractor's Dream" article. I pulled the trigger and ordered the bumper from Amazon for about $1000 less than MSRP and free shipping, but I am wondering about the quality of the bumper. The shipping weight, as stated by several online retailers, is 435 pounds, which seems a little high, even if considering the weight of the crate it ships in. Here's a link to the article:

I'll post up pictures when I get it on. It comes with the recessed lights and I ordered the shackles to hang on the front. My truck currently has four PIAA 525's mounted on an N-fab light bar, and those will mount on top of the bumper. I'll have to wait a while before I can afford the winch.

That's not the bumper I got. That link you posted is for the Transformer winch mount/brush guard. It just mounts on the stock bumper. I got this bumper...

I emailed Warn and asked about the 435 pound shipping weight. The tech support person at Warn confirmed that the shipping weight is 435 pounds but that the mounting weight of the actual bumper is 248 pounds. Here's the reply I got:

John,
The shipping weight is in fact 435 lbs, but actual mounting weight is about 248 lbs without winch. It is a modification to your vehicle that will change the driving habits of the truck, but the Super Duty trucks run a pretty heavy shocks and springs and you should not have any issues.

Well, I don't have a clue about these bumpers. I wasn't aware that you made bumpers. I had looked at Road Armor, Iron Bull, Buck Stop, Boondocks, Ranch Hand, Fab Fours, and several others. I really wanted the strongest, heaviest bumper I could find. I liked the Fab Fours bumper without the grill guard, but their bumper with brush guard looked bad to me. Most of the others that I looked at didn't look completely professional to me, almost like they were made in someone's garage. When I found the Warn bumper on amazon for what I felt was a really great price, I jumped on it. Now I just need a 16.5ti winch...and I need it for less than $1500. PM me and tell me what you could have sold me a similar bumper for...hopefully you're not going to make me cry. I do like the Iron Bull bumpers, especially the rear bumper for the F250. I just don't like the big "IRON BULL" cutout in the bottom of the bumper.
